Join Bay Area colleagues at the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce to see how the 28th Amendment will address money in politics and rebuild the foundations of democracy in which business can thrive and create value across all markets.
Last November, California voters affirmed their support for the 28th Amendment by passing Prop 59, The Overturn Citizens United Act, becoming one of 19 states that have passed resolutions for a 28th Amendment to overturn Citizens United and set common sense limits to money in politics. Business leaders have become part of this national wave of action. The market value of a level playing field delivers innovation and secures long-term economic health - two of the many reasons for businesses to engage in this successful movement (FAQ's click here).
Jeff Clements, the founder and president of American Promise will be the guest speaker and help us launch the Bay Area American Promise Business Council that will: provide forums for business leaders to learn more about the recent surge of money in politics; help colleagues make an informed decision on the 28th Amendment; provide effective tools and support for business leaders who want to take meaningful action. There will be time in the schedule for questions and discussion and we hope you'll join us for wine and lite fare. Please RSVP below and to contact your co-hosts, click on the names below:
