Writing the 28th Amendment - Philadelphia, PA

Philadelphia.jpgWith the first Constitutional amendment in the digital age, there’s no reason why every American can’t be at the table! American Promise is co-hosting with the American Constitution Society and the National Constitution Center a debate about the proposed Constitutional amendment to allow political spending limits at the NCC in Philadelphia, PA.

In favor of this amendment are Jeff Clements (pictured left), President and Founder of American Promise, and Elizabeth Doty (picture right), business leader and co-founder of the American Promise Bay Area Business Council.

In opposition are Bradley Smith (pictured left), Founder of the Institute of Free Speech, and Floyd Abrams (pictured right), Senior Counsel at Cahill Gordon & Reindel.

Moderating this debate is Ciara Torres-Spelliscy, Fellow at the Brennan Center for Justice, and Leroy Highbaugh Sr. Research Chair and Professor of Law at Stetson University.

This event is sold out, but can be live streamed for free on the NCC website at the time of the event here.

After the event, join citizen leaders for food and drink at 8pm at Revolution House (200 Market Street Philadelphia, PA 19106) to discuss tangible ways to get involved with this grassroots movement!
